POLYMER MODIFIED BITUMEN PLANT Model Challenger 10-15 t/h production consisting of:

N° 2 MIXERS for bitumen and polymers, rectangular section, type R-2/4,5 with following specs. each :

  • geometrical capacity 5,5 cu.m.
  • working capacity 4,5 cu.m.
  • heating coil
  • insulation with rock fiber and covered in galvanized steel sheet
  • manhole  500, 6" breather pipe, inlet, and outlet stub pipes with ASA 100 flanges for diathermic oil and product

  • 2 fast 3-blade agitators powered by three-phase electric motors each of 7,5 kW

N° 1 HOMOGENIZER MILL TYPE PMB 460 with the function of refining by cutting action:

  • easy replacement of stator and rotor parts subject to wear
  • jacket for diathermic heating
  • sectioning valves for hot oil circuit
  • micrometer gap recording
  • pumping effect for recycling mixture to the dosage tank or exchange between two adjacent tanks
  • water cooling jacket for shaft seal, with close loop for cooling down with fan controlled by a thermostat, with safety device
  • coupling to 160 kW, 4 pole, 380-660 V electric motor and trapezoidal-belt pulley transmission, star / triangle star
  • sturdy base with belt stretchers and safe guard

N° 1 ELECTRICAL BITUMEN FEED PUMP, 35.000 l/h capacity with heating jacket and by-pass, flanging linked, DN 80, PN 10, elastic joint for connection to 11 kW electric motor, robust electric welded base. METERING DEVICE, made by the massic counter, Corioli principle, with an indication in Kgs or liters of the quantity passed through the pipes. Manual sectioning hot oil valve.

N° 1 ELECTRIC MILL FEED PUMP, 60.000 l/h capacity with heating jacket and by-pass, flanging linked, DN 100, PN 16, elastic joint to connect 11 kW electric motor with inverter regulation of a number of revs, automatically managed on preset amperage of the mill, installed on a robust electric welded base.

LOADING CELL system for dosage of polymer, with loss in weight software, hopper capacity 250 liters

BITUMEN/EMULSION/CUT-BACK SPRAYERS 3 tones type ( ELIE98) consisting of:

  1. Tanker capacity 3 tones with 8” inch pipe for the heating system.
  2. Bitumen pump 5500 l/h + motor 2,2kw _1480 tr/ mn.
  3. Burner 30000 kcl.
  4. 1 thermometer in the system.

Microsurfacing

Definition

Cold MICRO SURFACING can be defined as those asphalt mix that is manufactured and laid at room temperature with a continuous gradation of aggregate and with a maximum size around 10-12 mm, always that the employed binder is a modified bituminous emulsion of a controlled setting.

Advantages

There are many technical advantages in the application of slurries and
MICROSURFACING. Among them we can highlight:

SMALL THICKNESS:

Although it is very difficult to talk in thickness, because it depends on the surface state, we can say that the thickness of the applied layer is the same of the maximum size of the used aggregates. For example, it could be approximately one cm., which makes the surface adequate for roads and for correction of superficial problems. Usually nobody in the word of Slurries talks about “cm” (thickness); normally the right way to measure the application is in Kg of mix by square meter.

CONTROLLED AND RAPID OPENING TO THE TRAFFIC:

Great advantage also to work in streets intersections, crossings, airports, etc., in any conflictive points of traffic and where it is necessary the rapid opening to the
traffic.

ADAPTATION TO THE JOB.
Especially to the local materials and to the conditions of the job site like traffic, climate, etc. Thanks to the use of special emulsifiers and additives.

Presenting a major plastic interval that in slurries, with the subsequent improvement in the behavior in the cold and hot climates.

In the case of MICRO SURFACING, HIGH ELASTICITY due to the presence of the polymer and GREAT FLEXIBILITY in case of adding fibers to the mix.
